Choosing a Mover

Ask Movers to provide you with a written quotation. If there are items you don’t understand thoroughly, ask them to explain so that there will be no surprises on moving day. Is it by the hour? How many in the crew? Any travel surcharges?

Make sure the Mover you are considering complies currently with all state and federal licensing and insurance requirements.

Avoid any Mover that requires a large down payment. Do not hesitate to ask for references or check with the local Better Business Bureau if you are uncertain about the Mover’s qualifications and reputation.

Price is always a main concern with a move; however, choosing a mover strictly on price is not always the most prudent decision. Do a little homework to make sure your moving day will be as pleasant and event free as possible.
